Adoptable Collies

Please be sure to read our How To Adopt page prior to submitting an application. Our goal with each and every Collie that comes into the care of Collie Rescue Network is to make that perfect match between the Collie and your family. Just like people, each Collie is an individual with his/her own special needs, quirks, likes, dislikes and an individual personality.  Not every Collie is right for every home (some Collies are couch potatoes, some would make great agility partners, some are quiet and laid-back in the house and others will bark at every falling leaf that blows past the house).  Our adoption process is designed to help make that perfect match happen. If you are unable or unwilling to complete all of the steps outlined below we will be unable to assist you with an adoption through our rescue.

Note, please, that we are a national rescue group and as such we have foster homes all over Canada. Take note while reading profiles below of where the Collies is located. Some, even though it might be quite a distance, are candidates for travelling for that perfect furever match. Note that travel costs (air fare and kennel costs) are the responsibility of the adopter, above the adoption fee cost. Generally travel costs are $300 (but could be higher, or lower). Flying a Collie is not an option is all cases, nor is it our first preference. But we have many happy Collies living several thousand kilometres from where they started in rescue! It’s all about that perfect match!

Please take a moment to check out our Forever Fosters HERE. They desperately need sponsors to help off-set the costs of allowing them to stay in the care of the rescue.

Forever Fosters are dogs who are left in the care of the rescue for the remainder of their lives. Generally due to medical reasons but can also be for specific behavioural issues, and sometimes just plain “old age”.  There are times we feel it is in the best interest of the dog to allow them to just hang up their leash and not have to move, ever again. They are loved and pampered in the Furever Foster home for the rest of their lives.

To ensure we can continue the Furever Foster program, please think about sponsorship today!
